I do a lot of recording. My kit is an old Ludwig kit from the 1960s. The drum drops really help reign in the ringing that I was experiencing but at the same time they let the drums ring out naturally. This is a great solution for natural sounding drums without excessive ringing.

These are the best drum overtone dampening devices I have ever used, so glad you guys invented something so simple that doesn't involve tape or sticky gummies that just attract all the little wood chips from your sticks!! I am still playing with different weights to get the perfect tone, so will be buying more!!
First time drummer or a better said first time I need to buy my own equipment. I’ve never had to buy gels before. These things are fantastic very user-friendly. I’d recommend the pack of four to start.

Wide open roto toms are a bear to tone down! In small rooms they can be a bit much. The kit I'm using is a rental I send out to "open jams" and these DROPS are PERFECT!
These really helped control overtones and resonance for recording without making my drums sound dead. Tone is still there plenty.
Immediately made my kit sound better. The snare and tom ring disappeared. i still have gaffers tape on some drums, but, i don't think it's needed.

I am the owner and builder of Rukus drums. Drops are incredible. More of a gate than a muffing device. They preserve the sound and attack of the drum while muting the unnecessary ring. Nothing in the market come close ❤️

I can't record with these, the weights inside the mutes rattle. These are way to expensive to not work well. Bummed out
I was initially attracted to DROPS because it appeared to a Cleaner Connect & Re- Connect on the Lug Point — And whey actually had’m InHand and could feel the difference in the weight pads on the Drums😳… I was BLOWN AWAY of how I could Still Here Enough Clarity in The Resonanz of my Drums Tunnings!! HIGHLY IMPORTANT to how I Color My Sound
The Drops don’t fit my drum lugs. I have an old (1970s) Premier kit with the rounded, single slot type lugs. So, I’ll need to modify the silicone tabs on the Drops so they’ll stay on. If it wasn’t for that, I’m sure I’d be completely happy with them.
Finally, something that isn't gross looking gels, or unsightly tape but a well made and functional weight that bounces on the drum head. I've bought two sets, plus a combo set of 40 and 60oz set. Fun to figure out the best combos for snares and toms. If I had a gripe, wish they had a 7 piece set for common 7 piece setups - a 40, 60 etc. You can buy them individually, which I did so not a deal breaker. Great product! Bought two for both my kits.

I like the smoothing out effect of the overtones. I doubled up on a couple of drums to lesson the overtones on the 13" and 14" tom toms. They produce just enough umf.

This was my second purchase to finish my set up. I have a seven piece, so it took a bit of fine tuning to get them the way I wanted. First we had Deadringers then Zer0rings. I like the floating aspect of this design. The latest industry reply is more sticky gels. Gen X drummer loves this product.
